40 DAYS ON MISSION

March 2 – April 15

40 Days on Mission is an invitation to explore and engage in the various ways Westover Church is on-mission for the Gospel in our local community. Developed by Westover’s Local Missions team, 40 Days on Mission is an opportunity to learn more about several of the ministries, organizations, agencies and individuals that Westover has the privilege of partnering alongside to serve our neighbors together with the love of Jesus. It is also an opportunity to live more intentionally on-mission by connecting with these partners through prayer and volunteer service opportunities. 40 Days on Mission follows the season of Lent, beginning Ash Wednesday (March 2) through Good Friday (April 15). We hope you, your family and/or your group will join us for this unique journey.

Is not this the kind of fasting I have chosen: to loose the chains of injustice and untie the cords of the yoke, to set the oppressed free and break every yoke? Is it not to share your food with the hungry and to provide the poor wanderer with shelter—when you see the naked, to clothe them, and not to turn away from your own flesh and blood?
